Refund policy

The benefits provided by the guarantees on this page are in addition to other rights and remedies available to you as a consumer under Australian Consumer Law.

What is guaranteed?

This guarantee applies to domestic use only and covers function, materials and workmanship in all Spacemaker Wardrobes products. Your Spacemaker Wardrobes products are guaranteed for 5 years against defects arising from faulty workmanship or materials, as long as the products have been installed and used in accordance with our guidelines. This guarantee starts from the date of purchase.


Duration of the guarantee

Each guarantee lasts for 5 years, starting from the date of purchase.


What will Spacemaker Wardrobes do to correct the problem?

Spacemaker Wardrobes will examine the product and decide if it’s covered under this guarantee. Spacemaker Wardrobes will then, at its choice, either repair the defective product or replace it with the same or a comparable product.

In these cases, Spacemaker Wardrobes will be responsible for the costs of repairs, spare parts, labour and travel for repair staff that Spacemaker Wardrobes incurs, provided that the product is accessible for repair without Spacemaker Wardrobes incurring additional expenditure to gain access. This will not apply in cases where repair work has not been authorised by Spacemaker Wardrobes.

Any defective parts removed in the course of repair works will become the property of Spacemaker Wardrobes. If the item is no longer sold by Spacemaker Wardrobes, Spacemaker Wardrobes will provide an appropriate replacement. Spacemaker Wardrobes will decide at its discretion, what will constitute an appropriate replacement.


General legal rights

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. The benefits under our guarantees are in addition to other rights and remedies under law in relation to goods.

Spacemaker Wardrobes complies with the Australian Consumer Law. Our refund & returns policy is as follows:

Returns

Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

We are not required to provide a refund or replacement if you change your mind. But you can choose a refund or exchange if an item has a major problem.

This is when the item:

  • has a problem that would have stopped someone from buying the item if they had known about it
  • is unsafe
  • is significantly different from the sample or description
  • doesn’t do what we said it would, or what you asked for, and can’t be easily fixed.

Alternatively, you can choose to keep the item and we will compensate you for any drop in value. If the problem is not major, we will repair the item within a reasonable time. If it is not repaired in a reasonable time you can choose a refund or replacement. Please keep your proof of purchase (e.g. your receipt).


Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.


Late or Missing Refunds

  • If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
  • Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
  • Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
  • If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us.

Shipping

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
